Study Guide: T/W/Th

We are completing our study guide in class Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.  Half of the final will be administered on Friday and the other half on Tuesday of next week.  If you are gone on Friday, you will test Monday and Tuesday!  The final is 100 questions!  Study!

Students are doing a project over constellations.  They have all week in class to work on it and it is due on Monday, June 1st. Creative Story Time!

Above is a diagram representing the Life Cycle of a Star.  Students need to choose if they want to be a Low-Mass star or a High-Mass Star and write a creative story from the perspective of the star going through it's life.  The details are at the link below.

Crazy times!

So, well things have been beyond crazy around here with standardized testing taking place over the next couple weeks.  We are studying stars; characteristics, magnitude, color, and life cycles.  This will all lead into our Constellation Project that will begin probably next week.  For that project, students will need foam board.  Any color, but black usually looks amazing!  Stay tuned for more updates!

Review!!

This whole week we are reviewing concepts from the past three school years trying to refresh our memories in order to perform well on our MSP next TUESDAY!  All review is done in class.

Today on #TackkThursday we were having computer issues so we did a MSP practice!  This time it was over Pacific Tree Frogs.  After completing it, we graded it and turned it in.  Tomorrow is Kahut day, don't miss it!

How Do We See?

Today it's all about the EYE!  How do we take in light and see?  Farsightedness/nearsightedness causes and how these sight issues are remedied.  A study guide was handed out as well because there is a quiz tomorrow over 4.1, 4.3, 4.4!! Study!

Yesterday we learned about rainbows, prisms, convex and concave lenses.  In a nutshell, about how light bends in different mediums.  The worksheet below went with the reading!

Color

Students were to identify/color the colors of light as well as pigments and do the following worksheet as well based on their learning of 4.1 in the book.  This is a review!  Tomorrow is Tackk Thursday!! Woohoo!  MSP is on Cinco De Mayo! May 5th, we need to be prepared.
